2019 Voice Over Rate Card

2019 Voice Over Rate Card – Martin Huhn

You  need to get a voice for your project… For example. the company needs a voice for the phone system. It could be just a welcome message, or a fully interactive IVR set of statements ranging from small to elaborate. What about your Real Estate videos? Want to impress those buyers with not only a beautiful virtual tour, but why not have a vote that affirms the buyer that it is being presented by a professional agent!

Broadcasters and advertisers know that the voice for a product is as essential as the images and text. Emotion, breath and pace will catch the attention of the viewer when they leave the room when the ‘commercial’ is on. I have the experience not only with voice, but also with the writing and production of hundreds of corporate videos, training films, e-learning projects, and every form of broadcast there is. TV, cinema, radio, internet, phone, audio guide commentaries, etc.

Martin’s voice has been used by pretty much every global company and broadcast on every global English language news channel! You can have a look and listen to his Electronic Press Kit.

When you are looking for a voice to add to your project there are many variables that must be considered  in the price that include:

  • Broadcast or non-broadcast
  • Size of the market
  • Market exclusivity
  • Duration of use

These are just a few of the factors that make up the pricing for a voice over. With all this said, here is the list. If you cannot find the exact use (i.e. podcasts, ADR), please contact Martin via email.

My Grandfather Rocks!

I have been working on a media transfer project the past while. I received around 80 hours of reel to reel tape. The tapes were my late grandfather’s. (It should be mentioned that his reel to reel inspired me to become an audio engineer.) I’m transferring all the tapes to digital. It’s a slow process but it’s a labour of love.

My grandfather was an accordionist. Well known too! He had a live radio show on CKCK in Regina long long ago. So going though the tapes I found one that has some interesting history to it. It starts with him introducing a Mr. Marconi. The first bit of the tape is missing but he mentions that Marconi is not the one who invented the radio, but his second cousin! Yes! My grandfather has him say something in Italian and then the two jam with Marconi on trumpet!

Can’t wait to share these recordings!

Subscription

The best way to support my show if you are not able to purchase a sponsorship is a free email subscription! The traffic on my website is just as important as a sponsor to let broadcasters know that my shows are being followed by ‘real’ people! So don’t let the social media giants take all the credit, let’s support all the real people that try to make your life better and click on our pages once and a while! I share a lot of information of the local websites of the people I interview. Now with all this said…

All you have to do is fill in the two fields below. One is your name, the other is your email address. Once you have done that then just click subscribe.  You will receive a confirmation email, in a minute or so, and in the email  you have to click the confirmation link. Then you are done! After this point, you will receive an email from me whenever I add a new post or page to my website.  You can always cancel the alerts at any time. I send around one or two emails a week at the most. And I would never sell the information on file.

Just a note, If you do not see the confirmation email, you may have to watch your junk folder because, well, just because a lot of real mail actually ends up in there.
