Support Local Programming

Our community is something that we cannot live without. Why not support local programming?

Martin @ the Crossroads is a TV program that shares the people and places that make our community on Vancouver Island unique. The program first aired in the summer of 2017 and has aired a new show every two weeks. As the producer and host I, Martin Anthony, have worked in media for many years both as a technical consultant and as creative talent.

The show is co-produced by ShawTV (North Island & Powell River) and myself. I’m what’s called a volunteer producer. I’m not paid for producing the show and to offset the costs of production (gas, guest meals, website, etc.), therefore I want to offer to you the following proposal that is a ‘win-win’ offer to your company or to individuals alike.

The Deal

For only $200 (+GST) you will receive an invoice for pre-paid services from  Systems Solar. Once the billing is complete, I can provide:

  • technical or creative services, and
  • mention you or your company in two upcoming show closing credits, and
  • write a blog post on my website of your support to the show, and
  • Each show also airs on YouTube, so your support will reach far beyond the local community.

The Services

The following pre-paid services are yours by appointment, in any combination, totalling $200 dollars:

$200.00

  • One page (500 word) voice over
  • advertising/marketing consultation
  • solar energy consultation
  • indoor acoustic consultation
  • outdoor noise consultation

$100.00

  • Small website SEO analysis and keyword update
  • 1 page (500 words) ad copy

$50.00/hr

  • Solar energy system repair & service
  • audio & video system service
  • electronics repair
  • audio or video production
  • web design
  • video editing
  • computer service or training

Note: The prices shown are less the taxes (which are paid in the offer) and do not include parts and travel outside the Comox Valley/ Campbell River area. Powell River will require ferry expenses to be paid by the sponsoring company.

How to Get It

Just click on the  ‘Pay Now’ image below to order. The order will be processed using Systems Solar’s billing system.

Once you have completed the purchase, I will personally schedule your services. For more information please use the contact page.

Episode 8 – New Year Take Out 2018

Episode 8 New Year Take Out 2018

Well… 2018 is well underway, no turning back. But how do we make it through the busy day? Take out of course! In the Comox Valley, there are some daily rituals and they have to be followed in order, or do they? The show is on air this week on ShawTV Channel 4 in the North Vancouver Island region. It can also be found right here!

I made sure that I was in ‘character’ by having a just woke up look with my hair. Seriously, we make every effort to get the realism happening here at ‘the crossroads’! So take out something for yourself! 😉

Welcome 2018

Well who would have thought we would see another year? With all the fuss in world politics and those who oppose its long fingers into world affairs. My hope is that we start to look more at the world outside our homes to get the real picture of what’s going on. Are your neighbours happy? Healthy? Properly nourished? It is all our responsibility to ensure our community is well. Let’s be concerned of the world, but our true happiness is right here. If we let news makers do what they want to do (make news of course), they will do it no matter what. It is what makes our global economy work. So in 2018 let’s make news they way it should be made. Locally produced and sourced. We all know someone who lives somewhere. So if we share the news lets do so via our local channels.

I hope that my work in community TV has influences some of you to actually follow it. Local sports, arts, and events are all there. I wish you to spend more time with your local media content. If you have a guest or even an idea for a show, you can be part of the solution of fake news. How about that?

Lots of love and understanding to you all in 2018!
