This year’s autumn weekends were just beautiful. I had the opportunity to get out to the parks in the region to have a look at the change in colours. There was no disappointment. The trees changed so slowly this fall and even within a day the trees had advanced to their inevitable barren winter sleep.
A sleep that regenerates the soil around them, warms their roots, and creates shelter for all the little creatures in the forest they share. I always enjoyed the fall. In fact, I believe it is the best season of all. Not too hot, not too cold, not too big, not too small. It is just right…
Looks like I will be going to the Vancouver Island Music Festival this weekend. Since I’m back in the talk show host saddle, I have the means to go and do some interviews as a member of the media.
I am always looking for a personal story, so don’t expect a lot of celebrity news, expect more from the people that make it happen and the people who volunteer throughout the weekend to make this one of BC’s premier music events. This year the line up of talent is magnificent. From country to world music, there is something for everyone. Camping is sold out, so you might have to ask me nicely to set up your tent in my back yard. I have room, but I get first priority for the coffee in the morning and of course, first rights to the shower!
Have a look at the festival here. I will be on my own at times and also with the wonderful folks at ShawTV – North Island.
Watch for me. I’ll be the one with the microphone in my hand!

It is hard to believe that my previous TV show was so long ago and in a far away land. Voice overs and writing for new shows, documentaries, corporate videos and aviation training media kept me pretty busy since then. I knew I’d be back.
If you are not familiar with my first talk show, check out the imdb listing for both seasons. When I look back, it’s pretty inpressive what I did pretty much single handedly.
Let’s see how long the new show will run! The premiere airs very soon!
Well, what can I say? The new TV show was taped yesterday. After all the planning, and preparations, once it was all done, I went home and slept for two hours. I forgot the energy and inertia that is involved in doing these shows. Good news it went well. So well that the station not only liked the pilot, they want a weekly show starting as soon as possible. Most likely in the fall. But we have the opportunity to do a few this summer.
I will let you all know when the show will premiere on Shaw TV. The show will air sometime during the week of July 10th, 2017. If you are not a Shaw Cable subscriber, the show will be available online once the show airs on the channel.
Well, taping of the new show is done! Today time seemed to be both fast and slow. The part I know best is the interview. Timing is everything in an interview. It’s a surreal place as an interviewer as while the guest is talking, you have to formulate the next question. Since I never script an interview, it’s not as easy as it looks.
Good news is the show will air the week of July 10th and after that it will be available on the station’s YouTube channel. I will share it all as soon as I know the air dates.
Well, given I am always working on TV, radio, and e-learning projects for people around the world, I do not always get to my own website. Well I finally got to it. Please check the site out. Many new features are coming including the podcast and the push notification feature so you can keep up to date with all our posts, podcasts and stories!
